To get a meal and a drink in a historic building with an antique bar head to this dockside restaurant on Greenport Harbor. Manuel Claudio, after arriving in the U.S. aboard Portuguese whaler "Neva" in the mid 1800s, opened this restaurant in 1870. It survived the Great Depression, Prohibition, and WWII. Claudio's Tavern also enjoyed its status as the longest continuously run family-owned restaurant. After 148 years, the Claudio family finally sold the restaurant in 2018 but the old traditions still hold here.
