Description:
Gimbel's inter-building bridge was built after Gimbel's purchased the Saks Company in 1923. Always in direct competition with Macy's, Gimbel's solidified their position by connecting their Sak's location on 5th Avenue to their 34th Street store via an inter-building bridge in 1925. The bridge now connects its terminus building's private floors.
