Hamilton was more a New Yorker than a stiff upper-lip type of DC and Upper Manhattan is where he chose to build his family home. Unfortunately, he would only live in it for less than two years before his death in the infamous duel with Aaron Burr. The house was relocated twice from its original spot, finally making its way to St. Nicholas Park which would bring the structure back within the limits or Hamilton's original estate boundaries. Restoration of the structure and original furniture give you a glimpse of Hamilton's home life in the early 19th century. (Submitted by Omar Medina)
