What was once a location of crime and illicit dealings is now a sanctuary for the local residents. Fed up with the negative elements that the trashed corner lot seemed to attract the community came together to clean it up and to make it a safe haven. Founded in 1976 the public green space was created with the help of Buckminster Fuller who chemistry nerds will recognize as the namesake for the molecule C60.
