Little Italy Sign

Along with its neighboring Chinatown, Little Italy is listed as a historic district. The Little Italy sign pays homage to its history in the late 19th century as the place where Italian immigrants settled in New York. Today the name is more nostalgic - it doesn't capture the current population there which is very diverse.
