Long Island Sign

The sign welcomes new visitors as well as greeting people coming back home. Around 40% of New York State residents live here and more than half of New York City's. Long Island deserves its own sign; along with being densely populated it is also the home of New York's two major international airports - JFK and LaGuardia. You can conveniently walk on the pier to see the sign up close. Best time to go is sunset when you can take magnificent photos of the Manhattan skyline.
