Lucille Ball's Grave

Lucille Ball, America's favorite redhead comedian, was born in Jamestown in 1911. Even though her family moved shortly after Lucy's birth, she always had love in her heart for Jamestown. When she died on April 26, 1989, she was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood. This didn't sit well with her kids so her body was exhumed and moved to the family plot at Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown where Lucy now rests with parents, brother, and grandparents. Her tombstone is black granite and engraved with a big "I Love Lucy" heart. On the walkway, hearts have been stenciled, allowing visitors to follow their hearts to Lucy's grave.
