Old Fort Niagara

You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy this historical landmark that dates back 300 years. The French established the post in 1679 and built the castle-style fort in 1726. Thereafter, Great Britain gained control before ceding control the the newly formed United States in 1796. At this picturesque location, reenactments of the war encampments are held periodically. For visitors, daily programs include musket demonstrations and meeting soldiers in full colonial regalia.
