This cooperative apartment complex in Manhattan, New York City, consists of a total of 27 buildings. Four buildings face West 94th Street, seven others face West 95th Street. This "walk" consists of two rows of eight buildings that face each other across from a courtyard which runs through 94th and 95th street between the middle of the block, with a locked gate at each end. Totally out of scale with the tall buildings surrounding it, the Pomander Walk is called "an insertion of incredible whimsy" into the upper west side. This area is not open to the public but you may visit by guided tours or invitation only.
