Roosevelt Island Tramway

This aerial tramway in NYC spans the East River connecting Roosevelt Island to the Upper East Side of Manhattan. More than 26 million passengers have used the tram since beginning operating in 1976. Each cabin can carry up to 110 people which makes approximately 115 trips per day.
