This 4,600-acre preserve in Ulster County is on the highest point of the Shawangunk Ridge in New York. It's owned by the Open Space Institute and managed by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (it was previously managed by The Nature Conservancy). The preserve features dwarf pitch pine trees along the ridgetop and within the park is Lake Maratanza, the highest lake on the ridge. The Ellenville Fault Ice Caves are also located on the preserve.
