Description:
The Big Duck located in Flanders, New York on Long Island is actually shaped like a duck. It was originally built in 1931 by a duck farmer named Martin Maurer who then used the building as a shop to sell ducks and duck eggs. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, it's the principal building on the Big Duck Ranch which is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
