Description:

If you've got the cash, this elegant 19th-century building has the room to spare! Henry Janeway Hardenbergh designed this luxury hotel to resemble a French chateau on swanky 5th Avenue. Moviegoers might recognize the fancy trappings from the 1992 film "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York." In fact the hotel capitalized on its silver screen fame by offering tours and accommodations based on the John Hughes comedy. Even if you don't have the funds to stay the night, the exterior is absolutely stunning and will provide you with stunning photos.
