Description:

Originally created in 1971 by German artist Fritz Koenig, this cast bronze sculpture was recovered from the rubble of the fallen World Trade Center towers. Although it was dented, scratched, and scarred, it was mostly intact. Intentionally unrestored, the sculpture now rests in the park overlooking the September 11 Memorial.
