Abandoned Ghost Town In The Sky

Ghost Town in the Sky is a now-abandoned amusement park located at 16 Fie Top Rd., Maggie Valley, NC. The park opened in 1961 and was a popular tourist attraction until it closed in 2002. The park was built on top of a mountain, and visitors could reach it via a chairlift or a scenic narrow-gauge railway. Once inside the park, visitors could enjoy a variety of attractions, including western-style gunfights, saloon shows, a gold rush-themed roller coaster, and other rides.
