Description:

One of the prettiest examples of Queen Anne architecture from the late 1890s, the Capehart House was built for Lucy Capehart and her husband. She was an invalid much of her life and must have derived some comfort and pleasure in living at such a splendid residence. Since 1971, the grand mansion has been an office building for the state government. Its current location is not the original site where the house was built. The building is open for visits during normal business hours.
