Duke Lemur Center

Dubbed as the largest sanctuary for lemurs in the world, the Duke Lemur Center is open to the public by reservation only. Currently the colony is comprised of about 300 animals representing 25 species. One of their annual highlights is the Lemurpalooza, an open house and adoption event for all ages usually held in the late spring or early summer.
