Description:

In operation for a short periods of time during the 1800s Endor Iron Furnace now looks like an ancient ruin. The red brick walls are partially torn down and covered in moss. Hidden away in the woods, the once-massive furnace was used to smelt iron found in deposits along the Deep River. Even though it is only a stop for urban explorers, there are plans underway to restore and preserve this historically important Civil War-era structure.
