Kings Mountain Gateway Trail

A short, paved trail from the parking area on Battleground Ave. leads to an overlook with a great view of the Kings Mountain area. There's ample parking near the trailhead or you can access the overlook via sidewalks leading from downtown (about 1.5 miles away). You can also opt for the full 7-mile trail which includes the butterfly garden should you have enough time and energy. (Submitted by Frank Kopenec)
