The "Rainbow Bridge" poem, often given to grieving pet owners, assures them that their beloved pets are restored to health and youth at the Rainbow Bridge, where they joyfully wait to reunite with their owners. Many don't realize there's an actual Rainbow Bridge in North Carolina, nestled in an enchanted mountain wonderland with grassy fields and hills as described in the poem. Created by artist Amy Wald, who lost her own dog, the bridge at Lake Lure Flowering Bridge allows families to honor their pets by attaching collars and tags to its rails, symbolizing eternal love and remembrance.
