Oconaluftee Visitor Center

One of the most popular attractions at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center is the Mountain Farm Museum which is located adjacent to the center. The museum is a collection of historic log buildings that have been preserved to illustrate the life of early Appalachian settlers. Visitors can explore a blacksmith shop, a corn crib, a springhouse, and other structures that were typical of life in the region during the 19th century.
