Richland Balsam Overlook

The Richland Balsam Overlook is situated at the highest elevation point on the Blue Ridge Parkway at an altitude of 6,053 feet above sea level. From the overlook visitors enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the Great Balsam Mountains and the Plott Balsam Range. The view is particularly stunning during the fall season when the leaves of the trees change colors and create a beautiful display of red, orange, and gold.
