Description:

A jetty that extends 40 yards out into the ocean ends with a beautiful, red-roofed lighthouse. Called a "screwpile lighthouse," the original was built in 1877 to mark the south entrance of the Croatoan Sound. This replica was built in 2004. Hours vary by season, but are normally Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Call 252-475-1750 for current hours.
