SECU Daily Planet Globe
This 72-foot orb is amazingly not the largest miniature planet on our planet (NY takes that prize) but it sure looks impressive crammed into the side of a building. It's not just for looks; there is a multi-media theater inside with a 2,000 square foot video screen and surround sound. The project was commissioned by members of the SECU "as it supports one of the Foundation's objectives of funding high-impact projects in the area of education," said Jim Barber, Chairman. The Daily Planet is free to visit, but you might have to get free timed entry tickets. See the website for more details.
