Turtleback Falls

This waterfall is named for the smooth, wide, gently downward sloping rock that spans the river and provides a natural waterslide for swimmers. The actual waterfall is only 20 feet in height but it crosses the river pushing people off the ledge and into the large plunge pool at the bottom. The hike to Turtleback Falls is just under two miles one way and the hike back to the parking lot is uphill - so make sure you bring a backpack filled with food and water!
