Description:
Bismarck Tavern opened around 1937 as the Bismarck Liquor Store and Cafe and later moved to its longtime home on Broadway in downtown Fargo, where it officially adopted the Bismarck Tavern name in 1955. Its vintage neon sign, installed in 1948, remains one of Fargo’s most recognizable pieces of historic signage and adds to the bar’s classic atmosphere. Today the tavern is known for its laid back vibe, strong drinks, and simple bar snacks rather than an extensive food menu, making it a popular stop for locals who appreciate its timeless character.
