Like the other three zoos in North Dakota, the Dakota Zoo is accredited with the AZA. 67 acres of land gives plenty of room for 600 animals representing 125 species. Grizzly bears, tigers, alligators, and tarantulas are only a few of the animals who live here. For kids, the Discovery Center provides a hands-on approach complete with interactive displays such as computers and a playground.
