Antoine Blanc Gingras, a Metis legislator, was a wealthy fur trader in the mid 1800s. The oldest building in North Dakota, this home and trading post was made from rough-hewn logs and put together by hand. It is the only building that remains of Gingras' fur-trading and empire.
