Description:
Historic Kegs Drive-In in Grand Forks began in 1935 when William Harry Muzzy built a series of wooden barrel root beer stands, two of which were moved to their current location in 1946 and connected to a small counter building. The spot eventually became known simply as The Kegs and earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011, reflecting its importance as a classic roadside landmark. Today it continues to operate seasonally with traditional carhop service. Popular favorites include the sloppy joe, crispy onion rings, and a cold root beer that celebrates the building’s iconic barrel design.
