Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Teddy Roosevelt was a New Yorker by birth but he often said that living in North Dakota prepared him for the presidency. This northern U.S. state honors him with a national park which is also the location of his beloved log cabin, Maltese Cross. Many of his favorite activities are available here to visitors - hiking, camping, and exploring hoodoos. There are plenty of plains creatures here such as bison and feral horses and park rangers advise that visitors watch them from a safe distance.
