Description:
While this 8-sided house may seem strange today it is a great example of a popular architectural style from the mid 1800s. Unfortunately, the house had to be moved from its original location at an astronomical expense - developers threatened to demolish it otherwise. The exterior could use a bit of TLC but the interior is impressive - a spiral staircase surrounded by a circular hall leads to the 2nd floor. Although the house is not open to the public on a daily basis, the Roundtown Conservancy hosts special tour days during the year.
