Description:
The King Gambrinus statue in Columbus, Ohio, is a 12-foot-tall tribute to the legendary "King of Beer," a folkloric figure celebrated in European brewing traditions. Originally perched above the entrance of the August Wagner Brewery—founded in 1906 by Bavarian immigrant August Wagner, who is said to have posed for the sculpture—the statue now resides in Columbus' Brewery District. After the brewery's closure in 1974, the statue was preserved and relocated to a small park near the original site, where it continues to honor the city's rich brewing heritage.
