Description:

Located on a village island in the middle of Lake Erie the Glacial Grooves are one of the most popular tourist attractions and natural wonders in Ohio. Literally grooves, these striations are 400 feet long, 35 feet wide, and 15 feet deep. These amazing scars in the earth were formed about 14,000 years ago - at the end of the last Ice Age when the Great Lakes were scooped out by retreating ice sheets.
