The Smolen-Gulf Bridge is the longest covered bridge is certainly not the oldest - built in 2008. However, it certainly is the longest at 613 feet. The bridge is vehicle accessible although two pedestrian walkways run along each side of it. If you want to stop for a break, there are restrooms and a park area nearby. The Ashtabula River flowing underneath is a popular fishing spot too.
