Description:
Red Brick Tavern was built in 1837 as a stage coach stop on the road between Springfield and Columbus and later served as a private home before reopening in 1925 as a tearoom and restaurant. It is considered the second oldest continuously operating hostelry in Ohio and has welcomed several U.S. presidents over the years. The building retains much of its original nineteenth century character with fireplaces, woodwork, and deep set windows that highlight its historic charm. Popular dishes include stuffed mushrooms, prime rib, bourbon glazed salmon, and classic pasta favorites like fettuccine Alfredo.
