Squire's Castle

Standing since the late 1890s this stone palace was meant to be the home of a lucky gatekeeper for an oil executive's estate. Surprisingly, an even larger castle was to be built but the dream was never realized. Even though the castle is open to the public with extensive renovations completed in the 1990s. Legend has it that supernatural forces exist here - it is said that the Mrs. Squire was frightened by a ghost and fled - but tripped and broke her neck doing so.
