The Haserot Angel

The Lakeview Cemetery is the final resting place of presidents and wealthy individuals but the grave of Francis Haserot is probably the most compelling. This huge marker is called "The Angel of Death Victorious." While it is supposed to convey an image of strength in the face of death, the angel perched in the middle is slightly disturbing. Years of exposure to the elements have produced what seems like black tears running down the angel's face. The cemetery is open during daylight hours.
