Description:
"Watch House," created by Columbus artist Todd Slaughter in 1998, features a copper house atop a circular, Native American-inspired earthen mound. The mound's center is sunken, filled with prairie grass and sunflowers, referencing the Hopewell Indians' garden crops. The copper house has a planetarium-like domed ceiling with cut-outs of household items, symbolizing the expanding universe and the evolving nature of family. "Watch House" connects Dublin's native cultures with contemporary society.
