This historic Y-shaped bridge was built in 1902 and it overlooks the Licking and Muskingum rivers. Amelia Earhart unofficially christened this bridge as the landmark which made Zanesville the "most recognizable city in the country." The unique design was necessary to aid the traffic flow over a troublesome and tumultuous river. It is one of five such constructs to bear this design allowing travelers to cross a bridge without crossing a river.
