Description:
This legendary Apache hero who led raids and resisted American and Mexican forces was said to regret his end at the hands of pneumonia instead of dying a warrior's death. So ended the long, tragic, but always interesting life of Geronimo in 1909 who died a prisoner of war. His remains are buried here although reports of his missing skull residing at a Yale frat house remain unsubstantiated.
