Sitting on 85 acres in Tulsa this zoo is home to one of the oldest residents and "staff" members - Gunda, the Asian elephant. She arrived in 1954 and has either outlived or out-stayed all the zoo employees and other animals. She is now 64 years old. As part of the Species Survival Program, the zoo takes part in breeding endangered animals. One of the most recent successes was the birth of tiger cubs in 2014.
