Across from City Hall, the Weatherford Wind Energy Center displays a 122-foot wind turbine blade along with information about the wind energy industry. Drivers along I-40 can spot the turbines in the distance. The project includes up to 98 turbines, each producing 1.5 megawatts, spread across more than 5,000 acres in Custer County.
