Cape Foulweather

Don't let the awful name fool you - this small part of the Pacific coastline is absolutely breathtaking. Waves break against green, craggy cliffs. While the weather can be overcast, it only adds to the area's wild beauty. Blame Captain James Cook - he discovered and named this outcropping on March 7, 1778. It's understandable since the weather was particularly stormy and blustery when his ship arrived here. (Submitted by Cambria Smith)
