Coquille River Lighthouse

The beach on which this lighthouse stands is of a rocky, craggy, rugged beauty. First lit in 1896, the lighthouse and its adjoining cottage has gracefully weathered over the past century. The walk to the lighthouse can prove difficult over the rocks but the view is worth it. You can access the grounds (but not the lighthouse) via the Bullards Beach State Park entrance.

A lone lighthouse from a bygone era situated next to a boneyard of uprooted trees. Beautiful in its isolated area…..
