Description:
The Cowboy Dinner Tree in Silver Lake, Oregon, began as a simple chuck wagon stop beneath a juniper tree used by cattle driving cowboys making their way toward Sycan Marsh. Over time the original homestead structure, dating back to the late 1800s, was converted into a rustic dining room by 1992, preserving that trail ranch legend and simplicity. Today the restaurant is known for its no menu format offering a hearty whole roasted chicken or a massive 26 to 32 ounce sirloin steak served with rolls, beans, salad, and baked potato, with portions so large that leftovers are a part of the experience.
