Description:
This Queen Anne-style house was built in 1885 by one of Astoria's first millionaires - Capt. George Flavel. It's been in danger of being torn down a couple of times, but local residents have successfully saved the house and made it into a landmark. It's truly a thing of beauty - almost 12,000 square feet of luxurious living in the late 1800s. A small fee will buy you admission into the home and grounds, and it will also help the city pay for the costs of maintaining this piece of history.
