A memorial to Samuel Boardman, founder of Oregon's state parks, is a great place for whale watching on solid ground. See the Pacific Ocean and part of the coastline from a high vantage point and get some great nature photos. If you're looking for a short stop without any effort (or hiking), you'll love this little side road with its beautiful views.
