Description:

This red, wooden-covered bridge includes its own pedestrian covered walkway - especially handy in the Oregon rain or snow. With a span of 180 feet this is the longest covered bridge in Oregon. It was built in 1944 to carry lumber from one side to the other but the lumber mill closed down in the 1980s after a fire. On the north side of the bridge you can find a park with a trailhead to North Fork Trail. If you visit during the Christmas season, you'll get the chance to see the bridge decorated with lights.
