Oregon Vortex

Even without the unusual gravitational field of the Oregon Vortex, the surrounding area in this Gold Hill locale is stunning. An object on a level plane seems to grow in height as you move away from it. Animals are repelled by the vortex. Compasses go haywire. The website says that the optical illusions can actually be captured in photographs. For about 13 bucks and a short trip just north of the Interstate 5, the Oregon Vortex is a singular experience.
