Description:
Artist Pete Beeman created his tripod masterpiece in 2002 using a variety of materials such as galvanized steel, titanium, bronze, and lead. Beeman has said that his sculpture was inspired by the "infrastructure, energy, and vibrancy" of Portland. It's also interactive; you can push the big counterweight at the bottom which will allow the 15-foot rods to sway back and forth.
